15 August 2009 (Saturday) Theme Party

 

The Theme for the 2009 PAC Theme Party is:  “The Wonderful World of Sports”.  So come dressed to impress in your favorite team’s attire

 


 

16 August 2009 (Sunday) -  The Welcoming Breakfast

 

  • AFSA and Auxiliary Members:  Business attire
  • Military Personnel:  Service dress uniform 

 


 

17 August 2009 (Monday) - The AFSA International President’s Dinner

 

Dress:        

  • AFSA and Auxiliary Members:  Business attire
  • Military Personnel:  Service dress uniform 
  • SKYHIGHER and/or HighFLIER Club Members:  Wear the AFSA Blue blazer unless they are active duty military members, they are highly encouraged to wear their service dress uniform

 


 

19 August 2009 (Wednesday) - The Air Force Honors Banquet and CMSAF Awards

 

Dress:        

  • Gentlemen:  Tuxedo or dark suit;
  • Ladies:  Dress evening wear (long or short)
  • Military Personnel on funded TDY orders:  Mess dress or semi-formal uniform

For example #1:

 

If you are an AFSA International Auxiliary member – you would select

 

  • 2009 AFSA International Auxiliary Conference

 

Once selected, you then would select

 

  • Air Force Sergeants Association International Auxiliary Main Registration

 

Check out – You are registered on the Conference ONLY

 

NOTE:  If you plan to attend the Auxiliary President’s Breakfast on Tuesday morning the 18 August 2009, you MUST register for this event separately.

 

 

Here’s how:

 

If you are attending the optional AFSA International Auxiliary President’s Breakfast -- you would select

 

  • AFSA International Auxiliary President's Breakfast

 

Once selected, you then would select

 

  • 2009 Auxiliary President’s Breakfast Main Registration

 

Check out – You are registered for the Auxiliary President’s Breakfast

 


 

For example #2:

 

If you are an authorized Military Conference attendee – you would select your specific conference name (e.g.)

 

  • 2009 USAF First Sergeants Conference 

 

Once selected, you then would select

 

  • 1st SGTs Conference Main Registration

For example #3

 

If you are a Spouse and/or guest of a Military Conference attendee - you would register in the "2009 AFSA International Conference."

 

Once selected, you then would select that Conference's Main Registration

TRANSPORTATION

 

Transportation from Hartsfield International airport: Go to the transportation booth at the airport and ask for a shuttle to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta and the Marriott Atlanta Marquis Downtown. We (CVB) recommend The Atlanta Link.  404-524-3400.  No reservations are necessary.  It runs 6 a.m. to midnight from the airport and it leaves the hotel every 10 and 40 minutes after each hour. $16.50 one way/$29 round trip per person.


The Concierge can arrange a limousine service to pick guests up at the gate for $65.00 for a town car, $85.00 for a SUV or $125.00 for a stretch limousine.

 

Taxi Service:
To/From airport fee: $30.00 plus $2.00 per each additional person.


Downtown Zone includes: North Avenue/Ashby to North Avenue/Boulevard to Boulevard/Atlanta to Atlanta Avenue/I75-I85 to I75-I85/Georgia Avenue to Georgia Avenue/Glenn Street to Gleen Street/Ralph David Abernathy to Boulevard back to Ashby Street/North Ave.

 

METERED RATES:
$2.50 = First 1/7 mile
$2.00 = Each additional 1 mile
$21.00/hr = Waiting time

 

Amtrak:(3 miles North of hotel) Taxi approx $11 plus tax

 

Greyhound/Trailways: Taxi approx $7.00 plus tax

 

M.A.R.T.A. - (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) $1.75 per ride. Rail system runs approx every 10 minutes. Hyatt Regency Atlanta and Marriott Atlanta Marquis are connected to Peachtree Center Train Station via Peachtree Center Mall. 20 minutes from Airport. (Airport pickup at baggage claim, TH Terminal. To get to Hyatt and Marriott take M.A.R.T.A. to the Peachtree Center Station and exit Northeast towards Peachtree Center Mall.

 

Taxi service within downtown Atlanta has a $8 minimum.
