Military families face many unique challenges. From military life, deployment and single-parenting, to pay and benefits, to transitioning back to civilian life. AFSA members support our military families in all phases of military life and beyond.
Our Family Matters information is here to help our Division and Chapter leadership better serve our AFSA members today and tomorrow.
International Family Matters Trustee
Hi, everyone! For those who don’t know me, my name is Patti Dalzell and I have served as your International Family Matters Trustee since September 2016. I was born in Rhode Island into an Air Force family and in 1996 I became an Air Force spouse. As an Air Force brat I lived in Massachusetts, Ohio, Turkey, Texas and Illinois. My father transferred to Missouri in 1970 and I have since made that my home.
As Family Matters Trustee, I have written many reports offering suggestions on how to involve your Family Members in your Chapter meetings, social events, community projects and fundraising activities. Other topics touched on are recruiting, retention, military spouse appreciation, Child Development Centers, the Exceptional Family Member Program, Fraternalism, veterans’ appreciation and many others. I invite you to read these reports, download and share them with others and visit this web site monthly for updates.
Thank you all for what you do for our military and for AFSA. Take care and God Bless!
Patti Dalzell, International Family Matters Trustee
