AFSA International Family Matters Trustee
Military families face many unique challenges. From military life, deployment and single-parenting, to pay and benefits, to transitioning back to civilian life. AFSA members support our military families in all phases of military life and beyond. Our Family Matters information is here to help our Division and Chapter leadership better serve our AFSA members today and tomorrow.
I am MSgt Nichole Brown, your newly appointed AFSA Family Matters Trustee, and wanted to reach out to all of you to say 'thank you', introduce myself, and let you know that I am here for you. I am honored and humbled that I was asked to serve as the AFSA Family Matters Trustee after Ms. Dalzell resigned. Ms. Patti has left us a very healthy footprint in regards to what she expected out of the AFSA Family Matters Trustee, and I am hopeful to get some responses as to who serves in the position at the Chapter level.
I have been in the Air Force for 13 years and have been an active AFSA member since 2008. I am happily married to my husband, Jay, who is also active duty Air Force. We have a 19 year old son, Riley, who currently resides in sunny South Carolina, and 2 year old twins, Emma and Noah. I am a personnelist Airman, and proud to serve in the worlds greatest Air Force. I currently serve as the Superintendent, AF Enlisted Promotion Operations, at Air Force Personnel Center in JBSA Randolph Air Force Base.
Very early in my career I found my ‘niche’ in AFSA. I served as the Airman Activities Coordinator, Secretary, Vice President, & Chapter President for Chapter 872. During my time at Scott AFB, I was also the Division 3 Secretary for two years. During my time here at Randolph Randolph AFB, I have served as the Vice President, President, & currently an alternate Senior Adviser to Chapter 1075.
The beauty of this organization, the beauty of holding this position, and the beauty of each of you on the committee is that I already personally know most of you. I appreciate each of you already and sincerely look forward to working with you, for you.
Please do not hesitate to reach me,
Division & Chapter Family Matter Trustees, send me your special event and activity photos with captions - we're happy to show how your FamilyMatters!
