OUR TOP PRIORITIES: AFSA’s Legislative Platform serves as a blueprint for testimony and lobbying efforts, in conjunction with responses dictated by day-to-day events. At the over-arching level, our mission encompasses seven major focus groups; these focus groups are military healthcare, veteran / retiree affairs, benefits and programs, military families, education, caring for survivors, and the Air National Guard & Air Force Reserve. Within each focus group are the most important issues as voted on annually by AFSA’s 75,000+ members. However, in understanding our Nation's current fiscal situation, success will not always be determined by what is gained. Rather, success will be determined at the level at which a benefit is preserved or from gaining a portion of our objective. At its core, our mission is, and will always be, to improve the quality of life and support the well-being of all military personnel and their families.
